ragle's departure comes on the heels of receivers coach tony dews bolting for a job at west virginia a few days ago. just three istants from arizona's 2014 fiesta bowl staff remain: co-offensive coordinators rod smith and calvin magee and offensive line coach jim michalczik.

the latest departure leaves rodriguez searching for two new istant coaches with spring drills scheduled to start on feb. 18.

ragle was hired in 2012 as an istant director of operations following a stellar tenure as the coach at scottsdale's chaparral high school. he was promoted to be arizona's special teams and tight ends coach the following season and was rodriguez's lead recruiter in-state due to his connections in the phoenix area.

ragle led the charge in arizona's 2017 recruiting cl for highly-regarded defensive ends jalen harris of mesa desert ridge and my-king johnson of tempe.
