is it completely safe to publish an ssh public key?

nothing is "completely safe"; the question is whether it adds any additional risks. the ssh protocol sends the client's public key encrypted, only after it has negotiated a symmetric session encryption key with the server. so an adversary that eavesdrops on the connection doesn't learn the client's public key. this means that publishing it does give the adversary an extra piece of information they wouldn't have otherwise.but what can the adversary do with that additional information? well, this all hinges on whether the attacker can break rsa. let's consider two subcases. (i'll ume that both the server and the client's rsa keys are large enough to be secure in the first place—2048 bits or more.)the adversary has a general attack on rsa that requires knowledge of the public keyby general at

there are a few al/public performance multi-word terms that have had their meanings extended figuratively to describe people like marina and the way might choose to live their lives and conduct their affairs, such as:one-woman/man/person show/band=”a person who does or manages just about everything” (from the american heritage dictionary of idioms, second edition, via google books)andsolo actcf: “life is not a solo act. it's a huge collaboration, and we all need to emble around us the people who care about us and support us in times of strife.”(from brainyquote, attributed to fashion designer tim gunn)"marina is a proud (and/or confirmed) solo act // one-woman band/show, she believes that buddies are for weak people, and she could very well cope on her own,"for what little it’s worth, urba

i'm so weak now | the huffington post

one of the hardest 90 mins of my life... an innocuous disagreement between brothers, one that happens all the time in any given household with young children, led to harrison getting into one of his frustratingly repetitive meltdowns that are so difficult to diffuse."i hate my life, it's the worst life everi'm so weak now... people can do anything they want to me and i can't stop themi hate my life....it's the worst life ever"harrison sobbing uncontrollably for the best part of an hour, i had climbed on to his bed and hugged him, stroked his hair, rubbed his tummy, held him close, doing my best to console him... him repeating over and over again how much he hates his life and how weak he is. after a while i spotted william listening at the door, with obviously sad eyes that his brother was

single word requests - what do you call a person who is utterly independent and

i was just in the midst of writing a description for a story i am writing, and i'm trying to describe one of the characters, or more rather think of a word i could use to describe them. they are independent, they do everything by themselves, they enjoy solitude, and believe that friends or socialization is unnecessary and causes nothing but issues. they are quite egotistical and quite narcissistic because of this, but i'm looking for a word that explains their need to do everything alone. if this helps, my sentence is: "marina is a proud _____, she believes that buddies are for weak people, and she could very well cope on her own," or something along the lines of that.

indus water treaty's survival appears weak: un report

islamabad: the 40-year-old indus water treaty between india and pakistan has been an outstanding example of conflict resolution but scarcity of water in the basin states since the early 1990s has brought the agreement under strain and its "survival appears weak", according to a un report. "the treaty fails to address two issues: the division of shortages in dry years between india and pakistan, when flows are almost half as compared to wet years, and the cumulative impact of storages on the flows of the river chenab into pakistan," said the undp report titled 'development advocate pakistan'. wular barrage and kishenganga project on the jhelum and neelum rivers present a similar problem whereby water storage during the rabi season is critical as flows are almost one-fifth of the kharif sea

game of thrones - could a dying skinchanger evade death by warging into another

privacy - should i tell my boss their p words are too bad?

while there is no doubt that weak p words are an issue for your company, i would strongly advise against telling your boss about the things that you have done.your company decided against giving temporary workers access to sites and resources for a reason. not only did you gain unauthorized access to the wireless lan by guessing the p word to the router, you also extended that access by probing the credentials against other resources - resources that you were not supposed to have the p word to. you then basically shoulder surfed your boss.while there seem to be flaws in your employers policy concerning the access to company resources, and their p word policies, all of these things could be considered ' ing' by your employer and were definitely outside of your authorization. if i were you i

is there an opportunity there? indian it companies are still cash rich; in all probability the h-1b visa changes may not become an executive order; there will be a resistance which will come from the googles and facebooks of the world. as of now, markets are pricing in the worst of the scenario that h-1b visa cost will go higher, growth will remain low permanently and it companies will not put their cash to work ever?i do not think so. while there will be a resistance, some of these global guys actually pay higher wages. first of all, it is indian it companies which are paying lower wages and therefore, the case that the resistance will come from a global us companies which are operating out of here is comparatively weaker. the hit is largely to the indian it space. it is a comparative a n

been called a 'snowflake'? the 'it' new insult | news for college students

apparently a snowflake is not just a little white speck of a winter flurry that we wish for on christmas day. lately the term has been used as a slang insult, often used in a derogatory way to suggest that people — often, but not always, young people — who take offense to anything from political policy changes to offensive comments are as weak and vulnerable as a speck of snow.but the slang term isn’t new — and its use has evolved quite a bit.in missouri in the 1860s, a “snowflake” was a person who was against the abolition of slavery, according to merriam-webster.snowflakes during that time period valued white people over black people and wanted slavery to continue after the civil war.during the 1970s, snowflake was used as a derogatory term for white or black people who were perceived as
